2. Collected Data & Purposes

The data processed comes from three sources:

  1. Directly from the User: During registration, ordering, or contact.

  2. Social Networks: Only if you choose to log in via these platforms (Facebook/Google Login).

  3. Cookies: Collected automatically during browsing (according to your preferences expressed in the cookie banner).

4. Processing Methods & Security

Data is processed digitally with appropriate technical and organizational security measures to prevent:

  • Unauthorized access by third parties,

Although Semerdjian implements all means to protect your data (HTTPS protocol, payment encryption), no system is totally completely invulnerable. The user is invited to keep their own equipment secure (antivirus, complex passwords).

5. Mandatory or Optional Nature

When entering data, certain fields are marked as mandatory (often by an asterisk). They are necessary to:

  • Validate and ship an order,

  • Issue a compliant invoice. Without this information, the order cannot be finalized. Other data (preferences, date of birth...) are optional.

Semerdjian never sells your personal data. It may be transmitted only to the following recipients:

(a) Internal Semerdjian Team Customer service, logistics teams, and the Data Controller.

(b) Technical Service Providers (Processors) For the proper execution of the service, we collaborate with trusted partners:

  • Shopify: Site hosting and e-commerce solution.

  • Payment Providers: (Stripe, PayPal, Apple Pay...) for securing transactions.

  • Logistics & Carriers: For the delivery of your packages.

  • Emailing Tools: For sending order confirmations and newsletters.

(c) Public Authorities Only in case of legal obligation or upon judicial requisition.

7. Transfers Outside the European Union

Some of our service providers (notably Shopify or Google) may have servers located outside the European Union. In this case, we ensure that these transfers are governed by:

8. Retention Period

Semerdjian retains your data for legal and proportionate periods:

  • Order Data: 10 years (legal accounting obligation in France).

  • Inactive Customer Account: 3 years after the last interaction (purchase or login).

  • Marketing Data: 3 years after the last contact or until consent is withdrawn.

  • Cookies: 13 months maximum (according to the Cookie Policy).

9. User Rights (GDPR)

In accordance with regulations, you have the following rights regarding your data:

  • Right to rectification (updating your info).

  • Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"), subject to legal retention obligations.
